Frida Kulo

Pardon the culo joke, but once we went to a burlesque show and that was actually someone's stage name. So I attended the Frida exhibit in SF, and though the lines were long the art was worth it. The real gems are the home movies that were shot, you don't get a clear idea of who Frida was at any point, but her beauty and essence really shines through in the short films.

PAPER TIGER

The new Paper Tiger print is out, it comes in limited quantities and is available here

Artist Scott Belcastro rolls out this beautiful painting for us. A deeply personal piece, it is a statement of his inner self and his current condition as an artist.

A self trained artist from upstate NY, Belcastro has changed his direction after 10 years of painting, and has recently been receiving rave reviews about his uncanny ability to blend and mix colors and super fine detail.

Belcastro is working on shows for several galleries coming up including stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver and Miami. You can see more of Scott's work at: www.scottbelcastro.blogspot.com

Canvases of your friends...art? kitsch? bad?

My friend provided me with a useful link to create canvases. I don't know how I feel about hanging anything up that is screen printed from a physical or digital picture, unless, it's this picture.
