HOUSE OF STYLE
Remember MTV in the 90's, all things cool: gay club anthems, en vogue, Cindy Crawford, and Todd Oldham. Todd Oldham had mini-segment's on MTV's House of Style, hosted by Cindy Crawford in which he showed the average creative girl with little fashion construction know how, how to put together hip and useful projects which could be assembled in 5 minutes with a pair of scissors and too much hot glue.
His career changed a little in the last few years, focusing mainly on home decor and general interior design, well, recently he's been named Old Navy's creator Director. Make fun of Old Navy all you want, you uber hip fashionistas, but they do cater to their audience with sales in the billions. This move is in part to bring in a younger hipper 20 something audience to the company, it could work and it could be just cool enough. If not, the clothing could go on sale and we could get really awesome gear once it goes on clearance because middle america just won't get it.

lets meet and be akward
I've been crazy these past days, rethinking alot about myself and other people. Weds. was Junior Senior/ Gravy Train!!!!
at The Roxy. It was boring, but I bumped into Sebastian, Jeremy Scott and Sarah Sweeney (aka craziest girl), so it was
somewhat of an amazing time.
SPIN magazine took my photo for one of their online thangs.
I also approached Maia's pee trail in the parking lot and teen angst.
I headed over to Weds. Nights at the Cantina, it was tres fun and too much dancing, next week again!
then Thursday was rather relaxing and depressing. It was too hot, too much, etc.
I went thrifting with Emily Hoang
and found these suitcases to be nostalgic and rather humorous
then friday rolled around and Evan Cohen shot Maia Stern for Creatures from jessejr.
GREATTTTTT TURNN OUTT. thanks Stern boob.
followed by a great dinner and amazingness.
After walking literally thousands of blocks, I met up with "daddy" and "mommy", had lunch and went crazy.
Sunset Junction was a bust, SO BAD,
TOO many fucking hipsters/out of towners, it just wasnt the same.
BUT I was able to see the best friend and Sebastian (cutie)
p.s
I received Creature stickers in the mail!!!!!!
get your SOON, before they run out, they're basically the coolest/ radest/ (FGAHHHH) things in the world.
you'll see pictures sooooon.

Wonderwall Days.
Mario Sorrenti decides to capture my ideal girl.
A girl who knows how become appealing without merely trying so hard.
The hair being effortless and shoes and accessories being the bare minimum, while the prints
and texutre make it hard for me to not just stare, but become mesmerized.
Pick it up, September/W Magazine

light. airy. dude.
There's a fine line between being different and then looking like every single person in LA
The American Apparel EVERYTHING.
The House of Holland shirt.
The Glass-less Glasses
The Colored Pant.
The Gold chains.
Its bad, for example
Its starting to get alittle out of hand, that I've never really been a fan of.
I miss the simplicity of clothing. Basics that will last, obviously never go out of style.
The Tshirt
The Great Dark Jean
The White Tennis Shoe
and more.

Hopefully all of you have checked out the new M.I.A. songs.
Some of which have been leaked, my favorite, Paper Planes and Bamboo Banger
On a lighter note, I was able to check her out at the Ex Plex which was amazing, but not after
my Creature Keds were demolished and were the color of grey ash poop.
It was alllllllllllll worth it.

walkscore.com
I ran across this website late tonight, and it made me really look at my local neighborhood economy. Sometimes we tend to have favorite places that we frequent, but looking at local neighborhood haunts could give us an alternative transportation option. As Angelenos, we know traffic sucks and why not go to a site that gives you different places to eat, shop, dry clean etc all with distances included.

REBELS UNITED/soccer is for everyone
Hey guys,
I am currently playing in a Los Angeles Municipal League, Rebels United. We are in division b and have a great group of girls that all came together as free agents. We have about 3-4 more spots on our team roster which needs to be turned in by the end of the month and I would like to take this time to extend this offer to anyone in the general Los Angeles area.
We practice off Magnolia and Tujunga Mondays & Thursday evenings from 7-9pm, our games are typically on Saturdays.
We are looking for motivated women that can practice and commit to a schedule, seeks solidarity with others, and wants to have fun and win.
Please email me at alex.arciniega@gmail.com and I can give you additional information.
Thanks

I'M A REC CENTER
What's better than a hangover Saturday morning? well, maybe not having one, walking around Echo Park and coming across an art exhibit that is less gallery like and more interactive, think science center as a child. "The Creators Series highlights tomorrow’s ideas and cultural trends, exploring the worlds of film, media, design, illustration, fashion, advertising, and technology, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary creativity. Curated and produced by Tomorrow Unlimited, The Creators Series has been designed as the premier outlet for the convergence of international creative talent, and as a platform to support optimism and idealism in arts and culture."
Jesse and I ran around, clicked away and spun around Daft Punk's record. Check it.
