After the posting of a new dance night in Echo Park, I was reminded of one of my local bar owners down the street. Charles Hanson, formerly of the Vels (and the Normals) can be seen in the amazingly awesome video below. Yes, he still wears a hat. He was very kind on my birthday and poured a tasty drink or two. Perhaps, I'll have to take Make It Central Alex to the joint upon her pending visit...perhaps, a photo or two shall be shared of the one and only Charles.
